She appeared suddenly,
almost without I realising it,
her life pierced my heart
with emotion, without pain.
First came her life,
her story, fidelity,
her falling, reconciliation,
her following out of love.
Love of Christ,
the same Christ whom I love,
united in the presence of the Lord
I can now walk firmer and better.
Later came her youth,
her face, pure and jovial,
her gaze enveloped in tenderness
her soft smile full of innocence.
Her hair blowing in the wind, combining
both sport and music
it was impacting in my life
now everything is new for me.
Bravery, courage, prayer,
surrender, battle, challenge
all the energy and spirit
lived only by the heroes of the Lord.
The early morning was treacherous,
a dagger in the hand of hate
I don’t doubt that in her strength of not falling
God’s praise was all that was heard.
God said her name out load,
Marta, the time has arrived,
He lovingly took her hand
and to the alters he raised her.
Today she lives happy in the glory
it was great the price that she paid
like Christ surrendered his life on the cross
she also surrendered everything to God.
I see her face,
I feel as if I am seeing myself
I give myself over to prayer
in a moment of intense love.
Thank you my Master
for this model that you gave to me
to show me once again the road
that the brave travel in order to love you.
