These few lines are meant to serve as an introduction to the letter, which Marta wrote when she saw a television interview starring the celebrity mentioned below.
Fernando Arbex was very famous in the seventies. He belonged to a very well known group “Los Brincos.” I am sure that all of those from my generation remember him.
I would like to loudly congratulate Fernando Arbex, firstly for being chosen by the Lord to appear scarcely-but intensely – last Thursday, December 26th, on the program “De tú a tú” (with Nieves Herrero). Congratulations also to all those of us who have been able to witness this brave and sincere testimony of a man who found himself enveloped in the commotion of the world –just because of the simple fact that he lived in the world not because he had looked for it, I ‘m sure – and although he is in this situation, he still continues to praise God.
My sincere congratulations! Because we are fed up of hearing whimpering and “pious” testimonies from interviews manipulated by the television channels; fed up of contemplating on our screens paper dolls in a row which constantly take away importance from every kind of value, not just spiritual or moral values, -which they have uprooted completely -, but also human values which are the most basic and fundamental values of all those who consider themselves a bit more superior to a donkey or a pig (and happy animals are these, that would never dream of killing “with a hind kick” their unborn young).
We are fed up, in short, of trying to be deceived. (I say try because you would need to be a complete idiot to believe the lamentable lies we are given which don’t make any sense in the first place and which are also lacking in supernatural logic. Those who possess the grace or gift to believe in our God understand this. (Those who criticize this belief without having a clue should remain quiet, we will pray for them).
So then, congratulations to Fernando Arbex and finally to all of us who are fighting, (I include myself of course!) against this wave of de-christianisation which has sadly penetrated, in particular, the mass media of our country. I want to finish with the last phrase of the testimony of this man who said: “...because in this world we are all just passing by...”
If only we thought a little more about that...
